They assist in multiple services related to lettings, such as listings and viewings. Conversely, a property agent will help clients sell their property. However, some estate agent businesses – like Colbert & Co – offer both estate agent and letting agent services.

What services does a letting agent provide?

Generally, most services will include advertisements for the listing, tenant viewings, and drawing up tenancy contracts. However, landlords can also work with their agents to ensure added services, such as property inspections, property management and maintenance, and rent collection.

In this scenario, the landlord in question performs all the duties required – from advertising the property and conducting viewings, to ensuring rent is paid every month and keeping up with the property management.
